Over 143 kilometres of cross-country ski tracks take you through the entire valley and across snow-clad landscapes. The 2.8-kilometre Ochsengarten route awaits at 1,570 metres above sea level. Despite its height, it is easily accessible by bus, which takes you there conveniently and for free. The cross-country ski tracks Niederthai, Längenfeld, and Kühtai are also worth exploring. Several toboggan runs provide fun and adventure for both young and old only a short distance from Hotel habicher hof in Oetz. A particularly romantic toboggan run is the Oetz-Piburg route, which is lighted daily until 10 pm. Combine your toboggan adventure with a nightly walk beneath the star-covered Ötztal sky and a rest at one of the region’s traditional, rustic mountain huts. Of course, you can also opt for a lift ride or shuttle service, which will take you right to where your toboggan ride starts.
